We are a small family business, selling children’s clothing which is handmade in Wales.

 

It’s so important to us that children LOVE to wear their Tufties Clothing. The youngest in our family are the inspiration, and youngest team members! They test our styles and choose and approve our fabrics and prints.

 

Nanna, Karen, makes the magic happen. She has been sewing most of her life, and remembers her parents’ haberdashery shop when she was growing up. She and her two sisters learned so many crafts here and with their parents.

As their mum, Laura, I’m interested in ensuring my children are comfortable in their clothes. Fabrics must be soft and they must be easy to take on and off for all those nappy changes! I also like them to have age appropriate prints and styles that are playful and fun! I’ve loved every minute of working with the genius behind the scenes.

 

Growing up, my sister Claire was the style advisor. She would design and choose her fabric, just as Moo does now. We spent years in hand made clothes and loved wearing them!

 

Lockdowns in 2020/2021 have been difficult for us all. However, despite taking lots away, it gave us so much too. Rediscovering her love of sewing by volunteering in a group making scrubs (alongside full time working from home), Karen (Nanna/Mum) made my little ones some gorgeous little outfits. So many people told her she should sell them, including my dad (her number one fan!) that she’s made the leap.
